To speak on this topic is Mr. Doug Muhleman, Group Vice President of Brewing Operations & Technology, Anheuser-Busch.

Mr. Muhleman began working as a brewing process engineer in St. Louis in 1979. He has since worked his way through the ranks, including appointments as senior assistant brewmaster, brewmaster, director of brewing operations, and vice president of Brewing. He was named group vice president of Brewing Operations and Technology in October 2001.

Doug is a member of the Anheuser Busch Companies Strategy Committee and the domestic beer company’s Management Committee. He is Chairman and CEO of Busch Agricultural Resources, LLC, and Chairman of the Board of the Anheuser-Busch Packaging Group. Additionally, he serves as the Chairman of the Environmental Health and Safety Policy Committee.

As the group vice president of Brewing Operations & Technology, Doug directs the brewing and distribution of Anheuser-Busch beers. His responsibilities span the supply chain from hop farming, rice milling, and malting operations to brewing, packaging and shipping. He also manages support functions including engineering, logistics and transportation, research and development, and environmental, health and safety activities.
